Dirt Squirt 80
Dirt Squirt 80
My wife, Michele saw this at Hodaka Days this year and fell in love with it. So I have been keeping my eye out for one but they seem to be scarce. Our Wombats are just too tall for her. We had an Ace 100 that fit but she does not like the “upside down” shift pattern.
If anyone sees one of these please let me know. I would prefer a fixer upper.

Perhaps you could consider obtaining a later model Ace 100 shift case with the 1 down 4 up shift pattern which you could fit on your Ace 100. I think the chrome tank Dirt Squirt 1 down 4 up shift case will also work but I'm not 100% sure about that. Someone will chime in to confirm that. What I can guarantee is that you will find a shift cover much more readily that finding a DS 80.

This is the one he rode on the Bad Rock.

Did he win best Bad Rock bike in the show? My wife and I both voted for him.

Re: Dirt Squirt 80
Get a shift cover with "HODAKA" molded in the circle on the side. It will give you the "down for first" shift pattern, and it will bolt right on to your Ace 100.

The new DS 80 twins are home!
Picked these up from Earl. Earl was gracious enough to meet me in Winnemucca, NV, which is about half way between his home in Arizona and my home in Washington. Lucked out and had very good weather for the long drive. No rain or snow.
My wife is happy so I am happy.
Both the bikes need a fair amount of work to get them in good ridding and cosmetic condition but I love doing that part.

Nice! I'm envious. I've been looking for one of these for a few years now, but I've never seen one north of the border.

Wow! That's as close as one can get to stumbling across a couple crated DS80s in the back of an old warehouse. Nice!
