Kick Stand Springs

Post by djdesantis »

What is the magical formula for getting kick stand springs installed?

I can wrestle with them but I may end up with a lasting injury. I was hoping one of you could inspire me with the method.

Thanks. Dave.

Take the bolt out of the kick stand, put the spring on the two attachment points and then attach the kick stand. Replace bolt.

Like SOCAL said, take the bolt out, attach the spring to both attachment points then line up the kick stand and leverage it into position. You will start out with the kick stand pointing upward and forward at about a 45 degree angle. Make sure the stand is below the stop tab and leverage it down into position. Then just replace the bolt.
