New member, BARNFIND!

Post by Aprilfool08 »

Hello all! It took me ten years but I was finally able to talk my sister-in-law’s father into letting this go. Backstory: He is a wheat farmer and purchased this new in 1976. He rode it infrequently and parked it in 1978 in one of his barns. He said it kept dying on him and, at least his horse would walk itself back to the barn when it bucked him off :D. Fast forward 40 years and now it is in my shop and in surprisingly remarkable shape

. All I have done was wash the dust off. Over the next couple of weeks (between all the other projects) I will get it running then start a light restoration.
I’ve been trolling this forum for a few days and I want to say THANK YOU to all of you with a great depth of knowledge on these classic bikes!! It has been and will be a wonderful guide for this resto.

I wish it was. I’m just doing some spring maintenance on it to get it ready for summer fun. Classic motorcycles are my sickness.
