Re: Road Toad Lighting Issue

In all this wire pushing & pulling, I found just today that the brown wire broke off the AC/DC switch. Had to solder it back on. But, this broken wire is not the cause of my headlight failure. If you look at the previously posted picture of the wiring in the bucket, you can see it was still attached there. Now, back at it, testing again and confirming connections with the wiring diagram. This is getting old....

Victor, looks the only function of brown wire is to power tail light.
Does your main switch have a green wire connected to the HL contact? Diagram above is said to be a road diagram.

OK. I did connectivity testing on both the green wire from the voltage regulator, thru the regulator & I tested the green wire which runs thru the main harness. Both show connectivity, no breaks.

OK. So I’ve checked both the green wire through the harness & the green wire of the voltage regulator for continuity via my ohm meter. Both wires are solid, no breaks in connection. Scratch those two off the list.

Now I’m out of fuel. Need to go get more fuel to make more pre-mix and put some in a plastic bottle I can hang so I don’t have to keep pulling & replacing the fuel tank. Ahhh, remember when life was simple? :ugeek: Victor
