Tire selection

Post by pfleming29 »

I am building a combat wombat for AHRMA Classic races. When choosing a rear tire. I know some people run a 4,10 x 18 others 100 .100 x 18. What is the difference between the two? I know I don't need a monster rear tire for my non reeded motor.
Thanks

The difference is weight and width. The Cheng Shin C755 4.10x18 is the lightest and narrowest tire that I have found for my Combat Wombat. And it works great for me on the track. This tire is actually just under 3.50 inches in width so it is as narrow at the original Nitto knobby that came on the bike when new.
