What length for rear shock would keep my Combat Wombat at the legal travel? I'm going to race in the classic class.
Thanks

Paul. According to the parts fiche the rear shocks on the Combat are 340mm long. The picture attached is a capture from Terry’s website. :ugeek: Victor

Your bike is a 1973 Combat Wombat correct? If so, it is my understanding that you can race it in the "Classic 125" class if it is stock even though the Classic 125 class is for 1971 and earlier bikes. The rear shock travel rule for a Hodaka 125 in this class is 3 1/4" Maximum visible shaft length (which includes 1/3 of the rubber bumper stop). It is pretty specific. Here is a link to the AHRMA site.

https://www.ahrma.org/ahrma_pdfs/Forms/ ... length.htm

I have ridden my Combat Wombat in the Classic 125 class with 13 1/2" Progressive shocks with no issues at Tech Inspection.
