Where to Stay in Athena
Recommend places to Stay :
Hi everyone I'm planning a trip for my husband and myself to attend Hodaka Days this year he has been wanting to come there for years.
Plans are to fly in Portland rent a car. We would like to stay as close as possible to the event. Any recommendation for a decent hotel?
Thank You

From Portland you'll be coming east on I-84 into Pendleton OR, so that's your best bet for lodging. From there you'll head north on Rt. 11 to get to Athena. Lots of choices, but I suggest getting a room early for better options. I believe the host hotel is the Best Western.

The Hodaka Club will have a host hotel and yes I believe it will be the Best Western. Info will be coming out soon.

Yes a 40 will be ok at the School open lot, but no hook ups. We have access to bathrooms and showers at the schools and new pool house at the park.

Here is a shot of the large lot upper left, you can get a idea how big it is by the buses parked next to it. Like I say we normally get around 10 rigs parked there.
The lower left is the power/water spots and would be tight for a 40 ft.
The arrow at bottom show where the park is. The advantage to staying in the big lot and close to the event is socializing with everyone, and I mean everyone from me to the people that worked for Hodaka. Its a lot of fun, I used to bring our 30 ft class A every year, but now its just me and my 13 yr old and we have a group to tent camp with in the park. I look forward to seeing you, please stop by the tents and say hi.
