Hi! I'm new here bc I didn't know what I had!

Post by tylerdurden2816 »

Hi guys, last summer I got a barn find at an estate sale, an early 70's Indian 100cc. All the forums call it the Fuji F500K engine. A few days ago an Indian guy mentioned the Fuji was used in half a dozen other bikes, one search lead to another, and here I am! So my first question, the Fuji F500K, is it identical to the Hodaka 100? My motor needs a bottom up rebuild and indiandirtbikeparts.com doesn't have everything, and, they have been know for poor customer service. Strictly Hodaka seems to have a complete rebuild kit...if the motors are identical. Thanks for the help!

Same but different. Not sure what parts if any will interchange, but I can pm you a phone number for a Fuji parts supplier. Claims to be the biggest Fuji stash east of the Rockies.

Hey Dan, please PM me the number for the Fuji supplier as well. I have a friend who has several Chapparals in his collection.

Do they have a website? Or is this a friends house or cell phone?

I don't know if he has a website, also don't know who will answer the phone. This is the number I have for him. Best bet is to call, but it is possible he may not answer on the weekend, so best to call during "business hours".

Damn this is confusing, not only does my engine look (from the outside) just like the Hodaka, but my engine serial number even starts with a "P" (P2139XX). But then there's a label on the top of the case that says Manufactured by Xenoah Co. Formerly Fuji Motor Co.

It's Fuji, a quick difference I cam see, left side motor cover has a screw out front on the cover, pretty sure Hodaka doesn't have that, at least on the covers I've seen.
