Cheap and easy replacement for the Combat Wombat rear pipe clamp
I found mine on ebay
It has a 3/8 x 16 thread so I bought a 3/8 stainless steel bolt
to thread into the clamp
I cut the bolt to the right length and ran a die on it to put a
m10 x 1.25 thread on the other end
Then thread the stud into the shock mount
And attach the elec. pipe clamp
And here it is again ready for service.
Although 1 1/4 " sounds too small, its a perfect fit since 1 1/4 " is the elec. pipe ID.
I also used stainless so the threads wouldn't rust after running a die over the 3/8 bolt shaft
You need to purchase this electrical pipe clamp( Caddy 454007 Cushioned 1 1/4" pipe clamp)Hot tip:CW pipe clamp
Re: Hot tip:CW pipe clamp
Well now, there's a clever idea! I have been putting together a CW from parts and I need a pipe mount.
I have to ask: Any reports on how it copes with the heat?

Re: Hot tip:CW pipe clamp
I have an Ace 90 that has a rubber connector between the header and the muffler which must get hotter than the end of the CW pipe. The Ace part doesn't seem to ever fail , but I won't be able to tell on the CW until I can take it on a long outing
Re: Hot tip:CW pipe clamp
Good Idea I'm going to need one pretty soon. I checked EBay and found them and then I checked Amazon and found the same thing for about $5 but free shipping. Turned out to be a few dollars less total price so I picked up a couple there.
