left case halves

Post by thrownchain »

Got a couple of case halves, Ace 100 motor. The "E" series motor half has a number 921001-01. The "P" series motor has the number 9 1001-01. Are there any differences in the halves outside the number?

Dan did some research on the two E engines I have , both 921001-02, one eng number E--05299 and the other is a E-15925, what are the eng numbers you have on your engines , with eng. number you might be able to find out when the cases went from 01 to 02. Bruce See you at Hodaka Days 2018

Bruce, more looking for the second number as opposed to the 01 or 02 at the end. Notice one is 9 _, the other is 92.

Yes I saw that, but without detail production records, which I am sure do not exist, unless somewhere there is a list of Engine number for all the E and F engines which should have date or years at least when engines where produced and etc. So the only way is to work backwards and collect the exact engine numbers from E- engines also noting the 01 and 02 details. Might put this search also on the Hodaka Fan club site; on Facebook and keep fingures crossed. Bruce
