Model 93 rear fender
Model 93 rear fender
Does anyone have a model 93 rear fender that does not have cracks in it? It can be dented but if its cracked or broken its hard to fix. I would pay fair for it. I need one for my number two 93A that I am restoring. If any body has one please let me know. I have one that is cracked and broken but I do not have a TIG welder anymore to repair it. Plus I put it somewhere months ago and cant find it now. If anybody thinks they could weld it up nicely to where it could be ground and polished that would be great also. Thanks Gentlemen. My email is; [email protected]

You just don't realize it, but you are Gentlemen. If you experienced what I went through with that demon possessed wife of mine from Mexico and her family. Not only are you Gentlemen but you are angels compared to those animals. The President is right, build that wall!

Really hard to come by, I know that Greg at California is good at fixing them or recreating from another fender. [email protected]

I have fenders, but a 93 I don’t. I have a Model 92 front fender, the early versions, with the holes in it, missing the mounting struts, or whatever they are called, and I have a spare Model 99, still in “Classic Green!” Could you make use of the 92 fender? Victor

I have front fenders, don't have any use for a 92 fender, but thanks anyway.
Re: Model 93 rear fender
The later metal painted fenders are actually the same fenders as the early polished ones, just painted. If you can't find the correct polished one, one of the painted ones (from a bike without a rear light) could be stripped and polished and might work. The mounting holes would be off a little as the frames were different, but they might not show, depending on where they were. Just a thought if you can't locate the correct one.
Re: Model 93 rear fender
I had thought of that but I thought they probably were not stainless steel. I assumed that they went to painted carbon steel fenders too reduce costs as stainless is somewhat expensive. Plus the cost to polish the stainless really added some labor to manufacturing costs. Spraying on some paint was much easier. Back in the days there was a lot of competition from all the other manufacturers so every costs savings was a plus. Are you sure the painted ones are still stainless? Thanks

Too bad they did not use stainless on the gas tanks also instead of chroming carbon steel. The stainless tanks would last forever. Plus they would be easy to polish. Thanks Gentlemen.
