I have a 125 Wombat 94A and in the exhaust pipe end is the spark arrestor with a diffuser in the arrestor that is adjustable. You can screw it in and out
what is it for and what adjustment should it be

I do not know of any procedure for adjustment, but there is a document under Technical Tips here at Strictly Hodaka regarding the diffuser and some sheet metal that some have that can be removed. Guessing from the picture that you would want to make sure that the cone is not so deep into the pipe that it would become too obstructive?

The threaded rod which accepts the diffuser isn't designed that way for adjustment. It is just a simple way to go about mounting the diffuser while at the same time assuring that it will be in the right place when the sub-assembly is installed in the rear end of the exhaust system. The lock nut should go on, then the diffuser is threaded on till it just "bottoms", then the lock nut is turned up and "locked" against the base of the diffuser.
The vanes "spin" the air and hot particles are "slung out" toward the wall of the exhaust system as the hot air turns "in, toward the center" as it continues on out of the exhaust system. The hot particles are captured and not ejected - spark arrestor function has been satisfied.
