Torque spec

Just wondering what the torque spec in on the primary gear nut. I don't see anything in the specs.

Same as the clutch nut, 250.in-lbs (on a WBat94).

That's good info to know as I am planning to do a rebuild soon on a model 93. I need to get a torque wrench. This Forum is the best thing.

For those lower torque settings, it's probably best to buy a smaller-sized low-range wrench as opposed to one with higher settings used to bolt down the heads on a D8 Caterpillar.

Yes you are right, there is a lot of torque difference between a 1 inch grade 8 bolt on a caterpillar 621D than on a Hodaka super rat clutch nut. A torque wrench in the lower range will be cheaper to. thanks

No only cheaper but more accurate. 200 in-lbs on a 250 ft-lb torque wrench is going to be at the bottom end of it's range. That torque value would be best handled by a 50 ft-lb wrench.
