Just purchased a steens hodaka has nickel plated frame
Ian going to restore but the rims are pretty bad I am
Looking for a decent pair of 16 inch

There is a cross use to a Honda rim, not sure which one tho, maybe someone has that info?

Got a quote on redoing the origionals really expensive
Couldn't guarantee they could get the pitting out they would just plate over it

Rechroming rims is expensive to get a good looking rim, you need someone who does a lot of rims and if they say they don't or can't get the pits filled, walk away, it's a labor intensive process of lots of polishing and multiple plating layers.

The Honda rim you are looking for is Part # 42701-KN4-013. It is the rear wheel for the XR 100, CRF 100 line.

Is the hub also the same or just the outer hoop

Hubs are the same, rim diameters may be different, they used both 16" and 17" rims in different combos front and rear. Front hub is front only, rear is rear only. Rims for size can be used either end. All spokes for 16" can be used front or rear, same for 17".
