Tie Downs
Tie Downs
For tight tiedowns while toting by trailer I use soft-ties looped around the lower handlebar or directly on the upper tripple. On the rear my first thought is to attach a hook or soft-tie to the 1-1/2" hole in the chrome rack side plate. But looking closer I'm not sure the mounting tabs are up to a heavy tie down with ratcheting straps and a bouncy live load. The smaller 1/2" holes in the shock gusset on the rear frame are strong enough, but hardee to use. Which is an adequate tiedown point for foe the rear?

Re: Tie Downs
I strap right over the tire. Or you can go over the swingarm if you have the clearance.
Re: Tie Downs
I have a similar problem with my 250ED, just no where to tie down. I found these straps at the hardware, just loop them over the frame rail at the back, they slip down thru the thin gap between mudgaurd and frame rail nicely.
