250 SL silencer

Post by RichardMott »

The 250 SL I bought in February had a rusty chrome pipe just hose clamped. I was able to get a nice brand new "Answer" silencer from Ebay. It was a fairly easy install using a plumbing connector and some fabricated aluminum brackets. Nice and quiet, at least when I started it and revved the motor. Haven't taken it for a ride yet, but it is not restrictive, so I an sure it will be fine. I pulled the spark arrester and cleaned it with paint thinner.
