Oil injection pump issues if using pre-mix ????
This is just a question that I thought of reading an old post. So in other words, I'm not going this direction ..... but if a guy goes with premix fuel (for whatever reason), obviously the oil injector pump is still working (well at least turning but not pumping oil). Will the pump eventually self-destruct when this is done?

I would remove it, since it will be running dry, if running premix fuel. Especially if you will want to use it at a future date. If I run across a used, unknown pump, I will not run it, due to the possibility of a "run dry" situation.

OK Michael, so a guy would simply remove the pump and then fabricate a plate to block off the pump's mounting location to the engine case then? That makes sense .... thanks, MIKE

I think Paul sells block off plates, possibly Dan over @ Hodaka-Parts and Bruce Young @ Hodakaparts also have them. I also seem to remember seeing them on Ebay but as you said if you have a few skills all it takes is a simple block off plate and a gasket or some "goo"!

Don't forget if it's a 03 Wombat you must drill the left center case.
