My '72 Wombat (94) came to me with some relatively short Renthal bars on it and being 6' 1" I need a bit more height, when I ride off-road I've been told that I look like a "question mark" when I try to stand up and ride. I was looking on SH and realized I needed some measurements to make an informed decision. I was wondering the difference in height, width and pull back of the 93 (Super Rat and others) vs the stock 94 bars.
Thanks,
Bev

I can't quote specs on the various bars - but the original toaster tank bars were indeed a couple of inches "taller" than the bars on other models.

Thanks Ed, I take it your referring to the 93, SR and B+ bars? I've looked at photos online and I thought the same thing, they do look taller than the stock bars. I just want to make sure that putting those bars on a Wombat would be comfortable and wouldn't look too odd.

DOH. That was supposed to be " . . . original toaster tank Super Rat bars were indeed . . ."
As for comfort and looks on the Wombat . . . both those judgements are up to the owner.

Re: Handlebar height- 93 vs 94
My model 96 DS bars are 4 inch.
The bars on my 03, not sure if the are Hodaka bars are 4.5 inch.Re: Handlebar height- 93 vs 94
I think handlebar height is measured from midpoint of a line spanning the two ends of the bars. Cross brace positioning can vary and are always lower than the grip height.
I'm sure Strictly Hodaka still has new model 94 bars in stock. The rise of the 94 bars is higher than off-the-shelf aftermarket bars available today.
If the stock Wombat 94 bars are too low for you then I think Ace or early Super Rat bars are even taller than the Wombats. Don't forget to watch out for cable length if you want to go taller than stock.
