O-ring size for Road Toad rear hub.

Post by Steve C »

Could any forum member tell me what size the o-ring, listed as #45 in the model 99 rear wheel schematic, is? I'm hoping to source it locally since ordering it will cost more in postage than the actual price of the part itself. Thank you in advance.

Steve. You're about talking about the O ring which goes around the brake activation rod, right? I have one of those taped to my fridge in my garage. You're talking about the bearing seal, right? Victor

I don't recall the diameter of that O-ring. The "thickness" is around 3.0 to 3.5mm. The diameter is to fit nicely on the groove on the hub as well as nicely within the bore of the cush drive. The purpose is to keep dirt and water from the cush hub ball bearing.
Take the wheel in and see which o-ring diam fits best. That is what I did.
