Iwas told By Lob Peterson some time ago that when Yamaha was Going to get into the ATV market they were considering Subcontracting out to Hodaka to build their machines due to over load , Reason they were considering this was because of Hodakas good quality workmanship. Lon at the time was working for Yamaha .

Is there any semi-precise information regarding when this manufacturing arrangement was being considered? I hadn't heard of it either.

There was a build up of Fuji quality and I thought there was going to be snowmobiles also. Having much respect for Fuji engines, Chaparral used them in their snowmobile and motorcycle so I was a dealer for them also. Dealers had much more direct communication with their distributors than PABATCO Athena. They told us six speeds were on the way and I am still anxiously waiting. Subaru also used Fuji engines, I had them come to Kalispell and did a interview for a dealership but my facility was too small. PABATCO and the distributors were the greatest to work with My distributor was Gary Olsen Sport Cycle at Idaho Falls. -------Clarence
