Newbe here---Hodaka Ace 100

Post by Huck »

Trying to restore a Ace 100 and can't seem to figure out just where the horn mounts. Can anyone help?

The horn mounts under the front of the tank just behind the tops of the down tubes where they meet the steering head. I may as well get right to the key maneuver when digging into your first Ace 100 project: The sun will burst through the clouds and the birds will start chirping the instant you score a copy of the Official Hodaka Workshop Manual. Ya just can't do without one. Paul sells them right here on Strictly Hodaka. Cheap insurance against the heartache and frustration of poking and hoping.

There is a mounting tab under the fuel tank. Matt beat me to it... Here is a picture.

No wonder I couldn't find it with the tank still on. I have the wiring harness, the tool kit -battery box etc. all in a box. The previous owner made a café racer out of it but thankfully kept all the original stuff. It's a title 77 and runs super with low <900 hours on it. Still need a original tool kit and need to get the tool box rechromed. then comes the reinstall of the harness, horn, etc. My seat pan is toast so that is another search~~~tks all for the feedback.
