Best way to restore plastic side covers?
I need help with restoring my side covers for my 250sl. Since I can't find new or even find ones that are in decent shape
Re: Best way to restore plastic side covers?
I have the best luck with wet sanding. I start with 220 and work my way up to 600 or 1000 grit. Here are before and after pics

Lee Fabry recommended MopNGlo as the final finish for detailed vintage plastic parts at a Hodaka Days seminar a few years ago. Just follow the the instructions on the bottle.

MopNGlow, eh? I'm going to try that in my tail light! I sanded the glue smooth from the crack with 1000 grit. Maybe the MNG will bring back the shine! ; D Victor
