Hi, New Old Timer Guy here.
Hi, New Old Timer Guy here.
Hello, new guy here. Old Timer. I just signed on. Thanks! Nice and easy too.
And I just found 2 answers. hodakas have stainless steel fenders, at least this one. And your 4 sale forum don't like parts. I can understand that.
I just picked up a roller, no engine at a roadside sale. NO title either.
It's a 1975 Road Toad. It is going to be parted out, whats left. Sorry to say.
I sell part time ebay, I am almost 60. I had a 1972 TS Suzuki 90cc. 1st real toy after mini bikes.
I do resto work on Kawasaki Z1-KZ900's, I sold a lot of Z1-KZ parts all over the world! Those bikes are amazing! hence my nick name. Plus I re-id my 75 Harley FLH 3 times in 36 years. Just did a 60's style "Duck" Bird mini bike for my grand daughter last summer.
I could not turn down the deal last week. But when I checked out eBay, there was not much of this selling?
1 or 2 guys, parting them out. Same guy does Z1-KZ's monkey claw something! Guy never even cleans anything? Few other parts selling.
But, I was wondering how one would go about getting rid of some parts? Being new to a forum, I don't want to cross any lines of demarcation.
As I am a member to a few others with my motorcycles. I have files of pictures, I am capable of of uploading pics.
Thanks.

That worked nice and easy.
Thanks!

Re: Hi, New Old Timer Guy here.
You can bring your parts for sale to Hodaka Days in Athena, Oregon in June for the swap meet, or on eBay. Generally, the forum market is for whole bikes, or you perhaps would be allowed to post the one you bought as is, but I don't think parting out is allowed.

AZ is correct; we don't compete with the Forum's sponsor. There is still a (remnant) Hodaka chat group on Yahoo, or you might consider Mike's Swap meet for parts.

Hi, and thank you. Don't think Oregon can be in my plans, Seeing I'm in Buffalo, NY. (LOL)
But I'll google some more.
Or just ebay the small stuff, I won't ebay the frame, too big and heavy. I basiclly have front end, trip tree, front brake and wheel, chrome bad on rim.
And I assume the rear was changed to an aluminum ring 17" 36 spoke, rear brake, the 2 stainless steel fenders, foot pegs, horn, coil, regulator/rectifier and the throttle tube and holder and the 2 lever perches.
Look at ebay in a week or so. same nick name here as ebay.

What did you get? Is it a Model 99 or a Model 02? I'm restoring a Model 99 for my 13 yr old grandson! This is him, helping me with it!

Hi, thanks for your interest. But? I have no clue? I am not familiar at all with these bikes, only from ebay and this forum.
Only have had for 1 week.
But this is the VIN # info Has "1/75" for production date. And a big H -15878.
I am sure you Guys know how to figure the #'s out.

Re: Hi, New Old Timer Guy here.
If it was built in 1975 it's a Model 99. It would have a tank shaped like the one in my photo. The model 02 has a more angled than rounded tank. ; D Victor

Re: Hi, New Old Timer Guy here.
Thanks Guy's. I had no tank or seat. I have no intensions of building it.
It is just a part bike.
But that is good to know, 1975 model 99 - road toad.

Re: Hi, New Old Timer Guy here..
Let me know what kind of parts you do have. I also have a second Model 99 here for which I don't have a lot of parts! Need wheels, axles, bars, throttle, cylinder, side cases, and numerous other parts. Can you email me a picture or two of the parts bike and tell me where you live? I migh even pay for shipping it, if it has a lot or most of the parts I need! ; D Victor
