99 Road Toad case assembly mystery hole
99 Road Toad case assembly mystery hole
I am in the process of new bearings and seals in my road toad. I just put the cases together and am now questioning whether or not I used to much yamabond despite being careful not to,and clogged the small hole that is formed when the cases are put together. I tried blowing through it but I couldn't. I can stick a small drill bit into it approximately 23 mm with no resistance. But I seem to remember it having an angle to it. There is a hole that mates to it that goes up the cylinder to the middle of the intake port. Thanks for the help.

Seems like there was a post about this "hole" a while back, if I remember correctly, in the case it doesn't go anywhere.

Are you talking about the hole right at the center-rear of the base gasket area? Half of the hole is molded into each case half? If so, don't worry about it - it doesn't serve any purpose which has been identified as yet.
