Parts ID

Post by Pep »

Hi Folks, Happy New Year
I got this air cleaner in a Hodaka parts lot the other day - any ideas on what this came off of?
Thanks,
Laurie

Laurie it is an aftermarket assembly made either by Webco or Torque Engineering for Hodaka's. I have the catalog here someplace but cannot put my fingers on it at the moment. It is NOT OEM Hodaka.

Hi Laurie, if you have no project for that air cleaner I would be interested. This bike I getting ready to start on and it didn't come with a air cleaner, yours looks very period correct for my project. So if you decide to sell let me know.

Thanks Kelly

Kelly, I love that TANK! And the Earls. I had a set of those Earls on my Wombat'n'Stein originally and Elsinore Shocks on the back! But, they were so bad I went to the 34mm KYBs. Still they look so cool!

Nice Project, I really am looking forward to seeing that done. It does need an airbox like that one ;-)

Maico Alloy Kelly,

Don't have a close up on this PC. Here is another one with a side view - you may have to click on it to expand to see the Wombat'N'Stein

This was my first racer and I have run that tank since I started racing AHRMA in 2003 I think? or was it 2002 I don't remember...

We just pop-riveted that front mounts on and they have held up to the stress of all the racing over the years...

Think my number plates on the Rat were big enough back then? I used them as fairings since I could go so much faster with that trick swing arm I could barely control the bike LMAO!! It now as smaller ones on it.
