Where to get 6v sealed beam
Where to get 6v sealed beam
Hello all. I don't see a 35/35w sealed beam on either Paul or Bill's web sites. Where are people getting 6 volt dual filament sealed beams which will work on the Road Toad? I searched for the Stanley part number but no luck. So any other brand/model which will work and fit in the 5 1/2" housing will be fine. Thanks! Victor

Thanks Rick! I bought the second one because it was both less expensive and my chrome ring was missing the directional adjustment screw/spring assembly. Thanks for the tip off! ; D Victor

Victor, here it is:

It looks like all the info given is still relevant and shows you what I am using also. Like I said earlier, still haven't blown a bulb. But if I do, I have an extra that only cost me about $12.00. And they're still available.

This one too has good info for Hodaka headlights: http://www.hodakaforum.com/viewtopic.ph ... 4846#p4846
Re: Where to get 6v sealed beam
I tend to support my "local merchants" before going to mail order. And then, on the Internet, I support my "specialty suppliers" before going to eBay. If my local "old bike" shops didn't stock or have a ready supplier of that headlight, I'd first check Paul with Strictly Hodaka and then the other Hodaka-parts houses. These people have invested a lot of time, money and careers to provide parts and advice for these old motorbikes. They deserve your first shot.

As you can see, Victor went the Hodaka supplier route first before turning to us at the forum.
