York swapmeet

Post by thrownchain »

Swapmeet this year is Jan 17, with set up on the 16th. No auction this year, they want to free up floor space for more vendors. I'll be there, anyone else heading in that direction?

As far as I know, Stu Gillard, Roger Duttry and my self will be there. The Club booth will not be next to Paul's booth this year. It will be across the floor closer to the entrance. Stu and Roger said they will help set up. If by chance I need to travel for business that weekend, they said they can fill in for me. Paul Burke and Sterling Caudill usually make an appearance too.

Yes I will be there again this year. If anyone needs Hodaka parts delivered please let me know ahead of time as I will not be displaying any Hodaka stuff this year. The focus will be on the new line of Preston Products and also VMX magazines.
Jack Penton from Penton Racing will be sharing the booth with us to talk about and display his PVL and Power Dynamo ignitions.
We were hoping for Tony DiStefano to be at our booth to sign our new Preston Petty MX Front fenders (Tony D) but we do not yet have this confirmed.
Guys can we go to dinner a little earlier this year?? I have to show up at the AHRMA banquet for a while.
Preston Petty Products is the 2016 Sponsor of Vintage Motocross so I should be at the banquet to say hello.
See you there!!

I would say that we can head out to eat whenever we need to to get you to where you need to be.

Mike Perrett, the Pension Fund Manager for the East Coast Junk Yard Association, will not be coming again this year. Something to do with the price of oil. Too bad. He is always fun to have around. His Hodaka knowledge is a great resource.

Throwchain,

When you work in the oil industry, having the price of oil come down is not a good thing. His vehicles, not motorcycles, all run on diesel anyway.

I am still holding out hope that if the weather is mild he might change his mind. :|

I will be at the swapmeet again, hopefully in our same spot right across from Strictly Hodaka, probably feeling a little under the weather as usual. :D
Paul, I sincerely hope you can join us for a while at the banquet. As you know Penton Team Members Jack Penton and Paul Danik will be there along with Jill and Greg Robinson from Unadilla. There will be a lot of roasting going on! The AHRMA North Atlantic banquet in York has been called the most entertaining awards banquet of the year. It will be a rowdy evening for sure!

Ivan lives only 14 miles away from me and the only time we see each other is at the York Swapmeet. Maybe that is why we stay such good friends :-)

I plan to be at the banquet but may crash the party as I do not yet have tickets. Preston Petty Products is the Vintage MX national sponsor for 2016 so we should be there.
I hope to go to dinner with the Hodaka folks early this year so I can make the banquet. Ivan we would love to have you with us but it seems you get a head start on the liquid refreshments before I see you. Not a bad thing at all though!!
Ken Mcguire asked me to had off a few of the new MX front fenders to you or Mark so he can get them without shipping.
Lots to catch up on ...

If I tell you I will be at the banquet for sure I am positive there will be a photo on the screen with my name on it like you do to Mark. So I am not sure I will see you.
How about we roast Kenny instead!!!! I have a great video of Ken taking dance lessons at the German Beer Hall in Sydney.
See ya soon and Merry Christmas to everyone !

2 weeks away. Paul, the set up time says we should be out of the hall by 4:30, so if we jump right then and beat the supper crowd, depending on where we go, maybe we can get in and out quick.

That would be great Dan if we could have dinner early.I have an email into Freddie to see what time the banquet is. Ivan do you know ??
Scott, Paul Burke, Rick, Sterling, Roger, Gary Gendron, I hope Patti,Stu and anyone else that cares to join us for dinner before the banquet.
How is 5:00 pm for dinner??

Where to eat this year? Last year was a great meal but I forgot the name of the restaurant. I remember where it is but not the name.
See you all really soon

Hey Paul,
You should have plenty of time to have dinner with the guys. At the banquet Happy Hour starts at 6:00, the dinner starts at 7:00, and the evening's program will start just before 8:00 pm. If you plan to be there by 7:50 it should be fine. The entertainment will start with Jill and Greg Robinson from Unadilla and then Jack Penton and Paul Danik. It will start out lively and get wilder from there. Tell Patti that Jenn will be there and we would love to have you join us. I am the emcee for the event so I'm pretty busy all night, but the guys keep me socially lubricated. See you soon!
