Hodaka booth at Motorcyle Daze in Blue Bell, PA

Post by RichardMott »

Saturday August 8th was the site of the annual Motorcycle Daze swap meet and show for vintage bikes. Sponsored by the Oily Pipes organization since 2011, the Hodaka club has been a sponsor since then with a booth set up to promote the Hodaka brand. The weather was perfect. Dan Foust (Throwchain) from New York state and Stu Gillard from New Jersey were there to help. There was lots of Hodaka interest. I had Club membership forms and Strictly Hodaka information. Hodaka Videos were running on my computer. Dan brought his Hodaka powered Steen for the show. I had my 4 Hodakas at the booth. There are always the Hodaka stories at these events where people talk about their first bike or a friend or relative having s Hodaka. When I was at Chuck Swanson’s home this summer at HD2015, I was looking over Hodaka sales charts. It seems that the state of Pennsylvania was one of the biggest sale areas in the country.
I hope we have sparked some new club members to begin a Hodaka projects or purchase of a Hodaka.
All we can do is get out the word and see what happens.

That's me on the left side behind the banner, you can see my elbow. And it's Killian, not Foust.

OOPS! Sorry Dan. Now where did I get Foust? Must be a senior moment. Thanks for your help Dan.

By the way, Jack Broomall stopped by as well. I was handing out flyers for an event he is promoting. It is the same weekend as the ECHJYA annual Allegheny National Trail ride. September 19th in Marienville, PA

Stu lives in Plainboro. It could be Plainsboro, but that is what I have saved in my addresses.
