Hand on helmet

I have a question regarding a method of motocross start with my Combat Wombat. Those of you who may not know some races require you to leave your bike in neutral until the flag drops then you put the bike in gear and take off. I think my (our) Hodo's have an advantage that as long as your foot is on...

Model 95 new piston rings and bore

I am doing a top end on my CW using a Hodaka piston and ring. I would like recommendations on what clearance I should put between the cylinder and piston? Ring end gap? I use this bike to race the AHRMA circuit, which means I ring its little neck out every ride. The last top end lasted about 15 moto...

Model 95 replacement piston

My last race at Millcreek, AL revealed that the motor on my CW is just worn slap out and out of power. I took it apart last night and measured my clearances and I would like your opinion for a course of action. The cylinder was measured using T-gages and a micrometer three times at each area: top, c...

CW Kickstarter will not engage?

The pedal on my CW kick-starter broke. I removed the lever assembly repaired and reinstalled. Now my kick-start will engage for about one kick then not engage for subsequent start attempts. Sometimes I will get a couple of kicks before it will stop engaging. Suggestions/fixes would be greatly apprec...
