Re: What a relief, 250 SL is fixed!

New air filter element was installed and I did ride it before the trip, it still happened. Lubed the cables and cleaned the throttle housing and handle bar area, now it works like new. It never had a problem up until that point but I suspect it had never been apart, wait til next year I guess!

Re: What a relief, 250 SL is fixed!

Oh don't I know it! I'm saving it as a Hodaka Days only bike, just have to figure out how to get a title for it so I can plate it and ride it in the poker run.

What a relief, 250 SL is fixed!

Found out today that the reason I had to pass on riding my 250SL at the Bad Rock and the parade at Hodaka Days this year was not because of an airleak, it was because of a gunked up throttle! I'm happy I don't have to take my engine apart to fix the problem but I am bummed that the next Hodaka Days ...

250 SL rim questions

Are there any other makes of bike that are compatible with the 250SL spoke spacing? I come across rims all the time and if I can use them why not?

Re: Hodaka Book Reviews

It was worth it to wait in line and get the autographs, once in a lifetime happening for sure. You talk about reading about never known facts but the seldom seen pictures, there are many, make the book a complete package. Even without the autographs the book is still a must buy for anyone that enjoy...

Re: Hodaka Days MX Failure Video

Front tire knifed under, looks like you had your weight forward and hit a soft patch. Could have been compounded by having too much air pressure in the non-knobby front tire as well. Just a guess!

Re: Hodaka Book Reviews

I just got done reading mine as well, Ken Smith and Paul did an outstanding job putting it together. I'm also happy to have all the autographs plus one that a lot of people missed, Pat Taylor! I was the first to approach her to ask for one but had to locate a pen plus she wasn't sure what to write. ...

Re: Attaching badges to Clarke tank

Be sure to do it off the bike and lay it on it's side just doing one side at a time and letting the silicone set before doing the other side. It seems to be the least hassle way to do this task!

Re: Hodak Days Thank You

I know I for one had an outstanding time and the best part was the people. I met lots of old friends and made a few new ones as well as getting to see some awesome Hodakas. The museum display was a great too as we all got to see some rare bikes as well very cool prototype parts and memorabilia. I th...

Re: Photo's of Hodaka Days 2014

Didn't take a lot of pictures because there was so much to do but here is a couple shot on Wednesday before the flood of bikes and people. I've never seen so many of each here and it filled up fast! Got to see old friends and meet a few new ones like Preston Petty, what an amazing man! I also picked...

Re: Shipping department closing June 16

We are also bringing different color 250ED tanks to Hodaka Days. If someone needs a special color be sure to order before the 20th. We will be bringing red, silver, white, black and or course orange. They will fit the 250 SL as well so if you don't want to bang up your original tank on the Bad Rock ...

Re: Shipping department closing June 16

I'm hoping to do the Bad Rock on the SL250 as well as the parade. Added a 250ED tank in red to it which makes it feel nothing like a trail whale! Air filter is the only thing I can think of other than picking up a couple extra plugs but I can get that locally. Man I'm so excited to go this year, wil...

Re: 250 fork seals

I already have the correct one's on their way so... I did consider that but I do have the time to replace them with the same size I removed otherwise I would have. Cool thing about a low mile bike is all the parts of the forks look like NOS, I like it!

Well, that's not the correct size, anyone need a pair of 34x46x8 fork seals? They are 34x46x10.5 if anyone needs to overhaul their SL250 forks.

Re: WTB Thunderdog Skid Plate for SL250

Putting an ED250 tank on it slims it down a fair amount plus you can get one in Red if you want to. Make a skid plate out of aluminum, should be more than enough protection with less weight!
