What's the easy/least expensive way to increase compression on an Ace 100 engine? On my almost daily rider I put a high compression head on and have about 125psi. It's was a low dome/super rat piston with super rat head, that combo had about 100psi, both with stock head gasket. Concerned about pisto...

Back in the day I drag raced an Ace 100 with Supper Rat cylinder, reed valve, Amal carb, etc. Ran 9.66 @ 66 mph on the 1/8 mile. Set a national record at Atco, N.J. Check out the Strickly Hodaka face book page for pics.

Eastwood sells a zinc plating kit that produces nice results, I've found that if you clear coat after plating provides the best rust prevention. A little labor intensive.

What is the ring gap for a 125 with a L type ring in an alloy cylinder? Is it .004, or .008

Couple of questions, Road Toad is an alloy cylinder? Will it fit on a Ace 100 lower end? Would it be a performance upgrade from a Super Rat cylinder that has had reed valve mods?
