Yes, you should be running 32:1 or 40:1. Select a reputable oil which is readily available in your area and follow the oil mfg. pre-mix ratio recommendation on the label. For a Hodie, tests have shown that the stock head design cools as well as a radial head modified to fit. But there is no denying the racy good looks of the radial head.

I'd agree, check the timing. Having spark and having spark at the right time are significantly different things.

File type might be important? The photo I've used previously is 90X90 and 32KB as a jpg but only 5.25KB as a gif (still 90X90 pixels
