In trials you should never see 5500 rpm. You want torque at low rpm , geared accordingly.

Get a compression gauge and check the compression, the closer to 150 lbs the better. Also see if you can find a way to do a leak down test. And check that the timing is spot on.

this one the motor number says it’s 93a, but it does have the needle bearing for the main shaft. Theoretically I could use a Ace case half as long as the decks are the same? ( big deck/ small deck)

The casting numbers I believe are the same. Ace shafts run in bushings, rat shafts run in needle bearings.

Insert the control shaft from the opposite side and use it to help level the o-ring and get it seated in the slot.

Anyone have possible cross fit applications for points and condensers from the big 4 bike companies? Outside of the remote mount condenser?
