OK- Yes I understand the Horizontal vs Vertical spools. I thought the spools were "changeable" to get the MX vs Enduro twist. The Duo sounds like it is easier to change the pull. Thanks.

Re: Magura 314 throttle cable
Great - Thanks I figured someone was using them and or the Motion Pro which I "Think" is essentially the same design????? What is the differences with the "Duo" and the other 314 throttles???? Any Idea??? I was primarily wondering if the throttle end of the cable would fit in the...

Magura 314 throttle cable
I'm thinking about getting a Magura 314 or a Motion Pro 01 throttle that looks about the same as the Magura. Anyone know if the Hodaka throttle cable for the 01 Dirt Squirt will work in any of these 2 throttles?? I have a brand new Hodaka cable- just wondering if it will work or if I have to get a M...

Re: HEAD BOLT TORQUE for copper gasket
OK - makes sense now as to why I wrote down the 250 inch lbs - which I compute to be 20 foot lbs. So - a little bit off topic -I have been searching for click style inch pound torque wrenches and mostly find 250 inch lbs to be the max on 1/4" click style wrenches. Not sure why I need one since ...

HEAD BOLT TORQUE for copper gasket
I know this has been discussed before & I even ask the question before - but I can not remember for sure and even though I did try a Head Bolt Torque search - there is just too much about Torque pipes to sift through. I did find the box I got the copper head gasket for my 01 Squirt engine and I ...

Re: Fork set up for trials ATF ?
Thanks - Again being the curious type - I looked on Amazon for 30W M/C Fork Oil and found they had a couple of brands of 30W M/C Fork Oil - not all that cheap but available - all the other weights were available also.

Great Thanks. Always wondered why you need "Non Detergent" - 30W. Will regular 30w foam up too much or??

Re: Fork set up for trials ATF ?
Just out of curiosity and not being a Smart A**. By mixing the 30 weight Non D with ATF is the theory to Thin out the 30W ( so more of the ATF) or thicken up the ATF ( so more of the 30W) or just looking for a 50/50 mix???? Seems like it would make a difference.

Re: Another Fender ???
Thanks - So the front mounting holes are the same and basically mount right up to the frame? Any Idea about how much shorter Gregs modified fender is? That would probably be the way I want to go. I have a small rear Lucas style brake light I want to put on to make it legal. Going with the Street tra...

Another Fender ???
I have an 01 Dirt Squirt Frame - which I understand is close to or based on the Wombat Frame - with some differences. I'm rethinking my build and possibly going to a chrome steel fender in the rear instead of using the Preston Petty fenders I have for it. Am I right in thinking the chrome steel Womb...

Re: Hodaka Fairings
It's on my bucket list and has been for at least 10 years - always something happens to get in the way. I even lived over in La Grand and made it to Athena for the Celtic Festival once way before Hodaka Days. But I have seen the photos of the Police Bike. I'll go back and look at it but as I think a...

Re: Hodaka Fairings
Well --- interesting. Must not of been a big seller. The ones shown looked kind of big in the photos - would of been much cooler if they were road race style fairings, but they are what they are - it will be interesting to see who picks them up and what the look like installed.

Re: Info about my Socalhodaka YouTube channel
I subscribed to your threads before - it dawned on me that I hadn't been getting notified about new ones so I went in and checked - still signed up but I clicked on the bell to be sure I kept getting up dates. Keep up the good work.

Hodaka Fairings
Recently I saw for sale on the Hodaka Fan Club and on the Facebook Market place site the same 2 Fairings for sale. These are portrayed as Hodaka Ace 90 NOS fairings with a Part number of PN#290003. I was surprised to see Factory Fairings for Hodaka's - anyone know of NOS Fairings from Hodaka ???? Ju...

Re: Rear chain adjusters??
Great Info - thanks - good point on length of bolts - I always pay close attention to the alignment marks on the swing arm - haven't got to the point yet of looking for them on the hodaka - I suspect if they were there they are gone now because I got the frame and swing arm powder coated. Every thin...

Re: Rear chain adjusters??
Thanks. I'm thinking mine are too crusty to clean up nicely so I was looking @ the new ones. Sounds like the rear "U" channel rear caps are just different but the axle hole is the same size?? I thought there were some smaller or larger axles that might be an issue.

Re: Dirt Track 2019 Calender
Not much interest but I did sort of make my own. I found a place where I could down load photos, gifs, jpegs, etc and make my own 11x14 calendar . It was a deal at about 16$ on sale for the 2019 calendar + shipping came out to $22 or there about. I was curious so I set up some old photos I had of me...

Rear chain adjusters??
Looking at a set of rear chain adjusters and they say for 92B+, 93,94,95 & 96. Anyone know if they will also fit an 01 or 02???? Not sure if there is a difference.
Thanks - LBM

Dirt Track 2019 Calender
For those interested I found a 2019 Actual 2018 Competition Riders Calendar. They are Photos of 2018 Dirt Track Riders running down the straights and sliding through the corners taken by a Photographer who follows the races photographing the riders on the track. Sadly no Hodaka's but I know a few of...

I understand. As it turns out I can't seem to find any Dual/Off Road /Road Racing, etc 2019 Calendars to buy - any where. Thanks The Toad it is. I was hoping the wombat was close enough to maybe elongate or redrill some of the holes to fit rather then cut & weld.

Re: Hodaka Racks fit???????
Thanks. Any Idea what the difference is between the rear of Toaster Tank Wombat Frames and the painted tank Squirt frame? Maybe the 01 frames were a "later??" Wombat frame? Or was it a matter of the process of design starting with the Wombat Frame and redesigning to fit the 01/02 concept??...

So the question is - Will any Hodaka rack fit the frame of an 01 Dirt Squirt - which I understand is basically a Wombat Frame - or do I need a wombat or road toad rack????
Thanks LBM
