Re: Bad landing?
It looks like he's about to perform a perfect flying "W" followed by a bonus face plant. I hope that is just a drop off and not a creek bed with a bank on the other side...…..Ooohh it makes my stomach hurt thinking about his immediate future and my own experience in this situation. I don't...

Re: Model 97 main jet
Thanks for the info. It helps to explain the problem I've had jetting my 03 engine and new pre jetted 32mm carb. It refuses to rev out past mid rpms. The carb came with a 350 main and 340 and 360 for spares.
Net larger jets are on their way.

Model 97 main jet
Greetings I've noticed in the carburetor schematics for the SC, that the standard main jet is listed as a 350 with the spares as 410 and 420. Is this correct, or should the standard jet be larger or the spares be smaller? In all the other schematics the jets are closer numerically. Just curious...…....

Re: jetting spec recomendation
Thanks for the info. The 32 mm carb does sound like the best way to go and I would do that today, but finding an intake to accept that carb seems unlikely. The HPI site has them as not available at this time. I will look for the jetting and carb recommendations you mentioned and see if I can make th...

Re: 99 clutch in an 03 engine
I have since found two other cages than the 99 cage, In the photo ion the left is a cage for models 98,95,97 which is deep enough for the 5 fiber and 4 steel plates. On the right is a model 03 cage which has room for 4 fiber and 5 steel plates and the middle is a 99 cage which takes 3 fiber and 2 st...

jetting spec recomendation
Greeting
I have an 03 engine with a Cicrcle F down pipe and a 28 mm carb with the stock 98 jetting. I would like to find if anyone might have suggestions as to any jetting changes that I may need to make with this combination.
Thanks

99 clutch in an 03 engine
Greetings I am building an 03 engine and the only clutch I have available is for a model 99. I'm assuming that the cage for the 03 is deeper and the screws longer to accommodate more clutch plates in the 03 with 4 fiber and 5 steel than the 99 with 3 fiber and 2 steel plates. If I can't source a cor...

Thanks for the advice and kudos to Ed for writing such a concise and helpful article. His tip about using a file comb is spot on.
