Dale,
I'd be happy to send it along for the museum, or any other use the club has for it.

Ex Hodaka owner
I sold the Wombat I'd been putting back together after having it sit around gathering dust for many years. Other projects to work on now. One Hodaka related item I have left is an old Hodaka Dealer Guide from a shop I used to work at in the 70's. It's a little ragged, but there's some interesting st...

1st ride!
Had the Wombat out for it's first ride in 30 years yesterday! Still missing a few bits and pieces but it runs pretty sweet! Texted with the original owner last night - he was pretty excited too.

Re: Cable colors, bike models
I received a set of grey cables today from Hodaka-parts.com. Advertised to fit 92, 92B, 92B+; they seem to fit my 94 just fine. Throttle cable is a bit shorter - maybe 3/4 inch. But, my aftermarket bars have less rise than the stock ones. Brake, clutch, speedo cable appear to be a perfect fit.

Re: future project brain storming
I'm no help with the Star Trek discussion, but I did do some work on a dirt bike motor cut down as described at the top of the post. While I was working at a Yamaha shop in the 80's a customer brought in a 250cc MX motor that he was using to power a chainsaw for lumberjack competitions. Scary thing....

Re: Cable colors, bike models
A lot of manufacturing was more freestyle back then. Maybe ran out of black cables? Or got a deal on some grey cables? Or found a few boxes of cables in a corner of the factory? Working at a powersports dealer in the 70's I remember many parts (sometimes entire engines) from smaller manufacturers th...

Cable colors, bike models
The clutch, throttle, and speedo cables on my 94 Wombat need to be replaced. All are grey in color. Looking at cables on the Hodaka-Parts website I see the clutch and throttle cables for that model are available, but black in color. 100 B+ cables are grey. Are the cables the same dimensionally - onl...

New guy Wombat progress
Turning the old Wombat in the shed back into a runner. So far, so good. Engine is together and back in the frame. We now have compression and spark. Next comes fuel.

Clutch actuator lever removal
This has probably been discussed before, but I couldn't find the answer.
On a 125 Wombat 94 how do I remove the little round top pin that holds the clutch actuator lever (maybe wrong term) into the RH side cover? I'd like to media blast and paint the cover.

Santa Fe NM sounds like a great place to be this morning. Near -20 F here.
Wombat is a 1973 model 94. I haven't looked in to how to post pics here yet. How does it work?

Hi New here. I've had a 125 Wombat sitting in the back of the garage for 30 years. Finally decided to make a runner out of it. I'm usually not quite this slow getting going... Too many other projects and hobbies. It's mostly complete and not too banged up for an old dirt bike. Taking the engine apar...
