I have come across a Rat with Frame # B-41986 and engine # P 25496 with a spare engine of P 30278. Frame head tube plate is 1970. In looking at the production number chart this frame number is not listed. Any ideas as to why?

My 92B+ fork is old school. Definitely not the same as the CW fork. There is no top out springs in them. Just the one long spring. The lower legs do not have the bolts in them to release the piston, etc. I will try the 30w oil and ride them as they are.

During the restore of my 92B+ forks, I noticed after re assembly they rebound with a thunk! The tubes come all they way up to the end of their travel and thunk real hard. I ended up using the Chev orange red paint, and found this to be a very very close match for the 100B+. Covered with clear. Thanks for the info. On my way to the reassembly now.
