I'm in San Francisco but my uncle is on the central coast by San Luis Obispo. I'm thinking he wants street legal. It's cool that parts are available. That would be the deal breaker for me and my uncles dream. Ha! My experience has been mostly maintenance like changing cables, rubber bits and gaskets...
