Re: New Hodaka in Oz
Oh why oh why did I sell my Wombat, Dirt Squirt, 100B and my pride and joy, the Super Combat Wombat all those years ago? oh yeah, young family and seemed like the good idea at the time, grrrrr, wrong, so totally wrong :( You fella's are doing some beautiful work there, love them both. Re: 250ED help and advice
Another Aussie Gregg? couldn't find the tool on that site but he sure has few goodies on there, I wish I knew about that site some months ago, I had to make a special 'pronged tube spanner' for a job on my quad bike, and he has it, oh well. After rummaging around in the shed last night I found some ...

250ED help and advice
I have just replaced the fork seals on my 250ED, I had done some research on torque settings for the bottom fork leg bolt (the one that screws into the inner leg), 30Nm seems to be a good figure, but I can't stop the inner leg piston from turning around, I have used a ratchet strap to squash the leg...

Re: New Hodaka in Oz
WE need to start an Australian chapter! i'm in Adelaide SA, where are you Bert? And that bike is looking really really nice. I started out on a Deckson Eagle (i would love to find another, I think all grown men, should-by law- own the first bike they had again). Moved onto a Wombat, had a few then h...

Re: Tie Downs
I have a similar problem with my 250ED, just no where to tie down. I found these straps at the hardware, just loop them over the frame rail at the back, they slip down thru the thin gap between mudgaurd and frame rail nicely. The bike shot was staged, bike is on stand with no forks so I apologise fo...

Re: 250ED gaskets
Excellent, an order will come soon, I will have to have a good look at the bike and web site and see what else I may need.
Would the postage be reduced by much if Thunderdogdownunder and I combined an order?

250ED gaskets
Is there a 250ED engine gasket set available anywhere, I have just bought a Thunderdog that hasn't been started for 20 years, I expect to have to strip the motor down and replace the main bearing seals, I can see that most gaskets seem to be available individually, but it would be nice to buy a comp...

250ED sprockets.
Does anybody know if the rear sprocket for the 250ED is a unique to Hodaka style or can I find one from another bike to fit.

My Hodiak project
Inspired by Rich and his Yamadaka post I thought I would post my story. I have been looking for a largish Quad bike for a while to play with, and use at my dirt bike club events, Hodaka don't make a quad so there was no allegiance to any particular brand. But the kicker was that I have never owned a...
