Hello from the frozen North! Can you guys identify this pipe? I measured the exhaust nut and it looks like it will fit my Ace 100 engine. If so, it this a good pipe to run on an Ace 100? I know it will need internal cleaning and a silencer.
Thanks,
Chris

The dimensions look very much like the early racing pipe that Hodaka sold (before the Super Rat came out). That pipe was pretty much the same as what later came on the Super Rat. Heat shield on this one looks different from that one and the Hodaka sold version had a slip fit mount at the cylinder. Good chance it is an aftermarket pipe made for the early Hodaka 90's or 100's.
I would say it would be a good pipe to run on your bike as long as you run it with a good silencer.
If you go to hodaka-parts.com and go to the library section. There is a tab in there for Hodaka Race parts, and i =t shows the early pipe Hodaka sold.

Very god pipe, fits hodaka, It may be aftermarket but functions the same. ace90 and ace100 had a screw on pipe. It is the same as I used in the day and it is still on my hodaka. ---------------- Clarence

Might be this pipe? Heat Shields look home made? This is the 91R (90 Race parts) F type pipe. :ugeek: Victor

Not the same pipe Victor, the 91 racing pipe as shown fastens differently more like the ace 90 pipe. His heat shield is wielded on wires with one short one broke off and two long ones wielded on. The one AKwombat showed had one more cone in the middle. The stinger on the 91 pipe also looks smaller and longer. Good info though Victor, I need to call you as I need your help with some pictures. ------------ Clarence

Great! Thank you gentlemen. I will plan to use that pipe in a future Ace 100 project.
