1971 Ace 100B wiring

Just picked up an ACE100B 1971. Runs good after a little carb tweaking and now I want to get the wiring harness back to original. It has lights, Speedo, horn and all, but it has been “violated” regarding the harness. I have the repro service manual that has the wiring diagram but doesn’t match up to my ignition key switch regarding color codes. Also, the diagram in the manual doesn’t have the “emergency” switch in it at all. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Here’s a copy of the Model 92 wiring diagram. Not sure if there is a 92B diagram but I’ll check my hard copy manuals.

One of the things I usually do is change the glass tube fuse/holder to a mini blade fuse/holder. Much easier to carry fuses and they don’t shatter. It’s also a good idea to add a voltage regulator like found on the Road Toads so you don’t burn up headlights at higher rpm’s ! :ugeek: Victor

Thank you! That makes my switch line up with the wire colors. 👍

The key switch, the manual I have is ACE 90/100 and apparently the 100B wiring is vastly different than the 90

Yes it is. Vastly different. This one is a lot closer to what you have with the B! :ugeek: Victor

Don't know if you are trying to get back to original configuration or just to make it legal to ride. If just to get legal, here is a very simplified wiring diagram from Dirt Bike Magazine from back in the 70's.

If for original configuration, go with the diagram Victor sent.

Thank you. At this point I’m not certain which direction I’ll go.

Ok, thanks to the help from above, it’s all done with everything wired to original, AND, everything works!
Getting a great kick out of this little bike.
