AS we upgrade the site, there are a variety of designs, some of which are more friendly to mobile devices than others. Leave a vote in the poll to give us some insight into your preferred method of using the site. Our design decisions will flow from the data . . .

I noticed before this upgrade that when you submitted a reply to someone it could take 2-3 selections of return to the forum homepage. It would stay on the same thread and not go back, sometimes taking 2 or 3 “go backs” to leave the current thread.

I also find the color scheme a bit harder to tell the difference between new & previously opened threads. The envelopes are gone. The read/not read messages are a bit harder to distinguish now. Thx! :ugeek: Victor

I also use my iPhone about 95% of the time. But I occasionally still use my HP laptop to access the forum as well.

My iPhone allows me to read/post on the go as well as allowing me to take a photo and post it right away! :ugeek: Victor

Gary. I’m a retired IT pro. I was 3rd level support at NM St. Police. I was not a programmer but I did do some web publication with Firefox Mozilla.

I would trouble shoot programs before they went out to make sure they worked and also wrote end user procedures. I will help you test if you would like. Let me know! :ugeek: Victor

Thanks, Victor. I am not a programmer either :) My goal is to get the site upgraded to the newest software to upgrade our security for users and add some features. This thread is only about the look and feel. This template is not ideal for mobile, but it works ok. There are a lot of others that are optimized for smaller screens. In any event, just trying to make the place better and clean out the cobwebs! I will keep you on my list of testers!

I anticipate the changes to be somewhat incremental over the next few weeks. My goal is to keep things humming along as we work.

Well you have done a very good job so far in my observations. Especially when you consider most people are highly resistive to change! To be able to upgrade in increments and keep the site still working at the same time, is a big accomplishment at any level, professional or otherwise! Keep up the good work! :ugeek: Victor

I only use my iPad. Although I always use standard view because I find the mobile view on most sites awkward.
