Jensen TIBI Radial head, cylinder assy, and parts

Post by BillS »

Hi Guys, my name is Bill and I am new to this forum.

The main reason I joined this forum is because my neighbor that had a motorcycle shop in the 60’s-70’s past away recently. He saved these parts for several decades in a box at his home. He left me these rare Hodaka parts including a Jensen TIBI Radial head and cylinder assembly, new carb, reed valve, gear set, pistons, cylinders, and other. I know nothing about these parts and believe they are for a Hodaka 100.

My question is:
I am looking to move these parts to the right person and was wondering if someone on this forum could use these parts and what are these parts are worth?
Was thinking of listing them on eBay as a set or maybe sell items separately. If someone on this forum could give me some advice on how to move these parts it would be greatly appreciated. If you want close up photos of anything, let me know.

Posting here is a good start. Do you have an idea of what your looking to get out of them? Where are you located?

Cylinder and head remind me of a Sachs motor.

Not sure what you mean by carb size. No part numbers on carb. Just measured the carb bore that mounts to the reed assembly and it measures .900"

.944 = 24mm. , looks to be a later model carb, early carbs I don't think came with the aircraft warning. I do see some Sachs parts in the mix, the blue S gives it away. I'll start at $600.

Lee Fabry is the most i think knowledgeable on the Jenson, as he is friends with Eric Jenson and knows the history.

Lee Fabry picked up the parts this morning. The parts were from Dick Dixon that past away about one month ago at 86. He saved these parts for decades from his shop "Dick Dixon Allied Cycles" in Newhall, CA. He purchased the shop in 1969 and just added his name to "Allied Cycles". Not sure how long Dick owned the shop. His widow said that his shop sponsored some number one racers back in the day. I gave Dick's widow half of what the parts sold for.
Many thanks to this forum and Kelly that hooked me up with Lee.

I have a Jensen-Tibi 100cc piston casting that was given to me by Mike Perrett. I would like to one day machine it for one of my 100 cc motors.
