Well - I got one. $39 each for Two (one for a buddy) and gave it a try on my iPhone today. Works on WIFI so will work on android as well. It uses an app, so running it on a laptop may not work - I will test and see.

Has adjustable LED on end. USB charge. Here is a real life first try test out of the box - Super Rat Inspection:

And a second test in a Combat Tank:

Took about 2 minutes to set up (5 min initial read instructions!)

I can see lots of uses for it.

A buddy of mine has a similar unit, won't even look at a bike with out it, great for checking out cylinders and tanks, helps eliminate surprises from less than honest sellers.

I did a little research and if you want to use this on your Windows Laptop, there are several free programs.

The following program seem to work quite well. This assumes it is plugged into your USB port. There are several resolution settings in the program, so you may need to play with it a bit.

If you go to the bottom of this page: http://www.oasisscientific.com/downloads.html you will find some links to Mac compatible software that may work as well if you are an Apple Only person!

Make sure whichever software you use, go into the settings of the software and adjust to the highest resolution. I discovered the initial settings on them all was not there by default!
