Hey Mike, I think you are on the wrong forum. Heh Heh. The Christian forum is on the right side of your screen.....
No one is discrediting the Lord on this forum. At least not that I have noticed.

If someone were, I think Fred Guidi would have something to say about it. By the way, I just voted for him. Fred, not the Lord.
I think I will go away now.

Ouch…some fiery darts coming from the Super Secret Hodaka Research and Meditation Center and I believe they are aimed at me! However, in this case Richard’s last reply is spot on. No harm taken from Mike reply though. I hope he meant well?? ;) In this case Mike is “preaching to the choir” as the saying goes. Hey Mike…”cheer up dude, its Christmas”.

Not to re-stir the pot but I just bought this bike..Just like Chris's early 100MX, according to the chart the frame number belongs to a 100B...The frame has the same letter and number stamped on it as the tag.

The chart is simply wrong within this range of number sequence. The frame tags and stamped numbers are correct, as is the time frame.

Az is absolutely correct. All model 93 Super Rats frame numbers started with a B And all model 90 and 92 frame numbers started with A.------Clarence

The C is just the engine designation for the engine. The engines numbers started with C 00001 ---- Clarence

C is the frame designation, should have an H motor number.

Sux. There are people here who will make you feel unwelcome by their demeanor. They don’t always intend to be rude, it just seems to come out that way. It kind of happens because there is no inflection or emphasis when reading typed words. Sometimes we tend to insert our own inflections or emphasis when there is none where we place them. Don’t let it bother you.

I have expressed in the past that there are many people who come here and then leave after a post or two because they had the same experience. The secret to sticking it out here is to be like a Hodaka! Durable & adaptable!

There have been times I have told a person or two to F€£k off in a private message. But be like a Hodaka & you’ll be fine! :ugeek: Victor

P.S. I used this , :ugeek: imogee with my signature not because I have a beard, but because of the title of the imogee, “ugeek”!!!

My last post was a bit of commiserating with the poster. He said he felt he wasn’t welcome here. Tried to explain that we can’t always perceive an emotion behind written text. Though it’s way too easy for folks to do so.

We need to make sure that we all explain things in a way that they can’t be perceived by most as non-welcoming. This is why so many people come here, make a post or 2, and then go elsewhere.

Yes, it’s easy for people to misinterpret the intent behind the words. But, folks need to remember to think about how they say things. Not every person can come away from a text only site and never feel unwelcome by what was said or how it was said. But we all can probably do better. All it takes is trying. :ugeek: Victor

I am kinda still lost Victor. Are you referring to the post 8 years ago 2015? I see another mistake I made then, I mentioned a 100A. Hodaka made the ace 90, and ace 100. Then they produced the (100b's 92A, 92B and the 92B+ all 100B's). Of course they made the Super rat models 93, 93A and the 93B. But they never made a 100A --- Clarence

It sure is nice when the Frame has the Tag on it. My Super Rat was Manufactured September 1971. The Information is really good for that year. It looks like the 1969 1970 Super Rats are a little harder to figure out because the information for the 1970 Engine Start Number is unknown. Paul Stannard said that. I have a 1973 1974 Honda CR250M. I call it the 73 74 Series because that Bike was made in a continuous Run. No information for the Frame or Engine Starting Numbers for 1974. BUT my favorite Bike to figure out how to properly restore is my 1970 Husqvarna 400 Cross. The Engine is no problem. Starts with 401. Good Information out there. Here is where I shake my head. The 1970 250, 360 and 400 Cross Frames all started with MH0001. Same Frame used for 3 Different Models. Hodaka information could be a little better BUT Honda and Husqvarna could be a little frustrating too !!! Joe

Joe,
Try dealing with Maico's from the 60's through the 70's. They would use whatever parts were on hand. Frames numbered for one model would be used for another, without any change to the numbers. So you could have a 400 with a frame number designated for a 250, etc. As you noted, can't always count on what the "Book" says.
