weighted flywheel

Post by cuzncletus »

Finally got my "back from the dead (leaves)" Wombat project home and into the shop Saturday. Amazingly simple, my son and I had it disassembled in two hours. Even more amazing, we did not strip or break the first fastener on a machine that has been lying in rotting leaves for over a decade.

I intend to build a trials bike. It will need torque to haul my antique, rotund rear. Does anyone still make heavy flywheels? I'm also going to research port mods for more low end oomph.

Curious: What tires originally came on a Wombat in 73?

If your a Hodaka Club member you can access Resonator back issues, there are about 3 or 4 Trials built write ups.

The original tires were (I believe Nitto) trials type tires, the front being a 2.75x21 and the rear a 3.00x18 (or a 3.50x18 on the later ones).
