Jody's bike is longggggg gone also.The engine exploded shortly after the bike was sold to someone in Walla Walla and he discarded it. What remained was the chassis and that has now vanished.

I am actually doing the same thing right now with my 1977 250SL. Adding a Powerdynamo ignition, performance pipe,38mm flat slide carb and having Starting Line who makes our HT pipes do the porting. Spudman our seals are 7mm wide like the OEM seals. I like Danny's thoughts but I try to source parts as close to OEM as possible. Just for the reason Ed has shown in the service bulletin above. I lot of time,thought and energy went into these service bulletin's.
