Re: No spark!!!

I would. I would start with a bare condenser and go from there. I use a Dremel with a sanding drum on the Primary Coil wire. If it won`t Tin it`s still not clean. Joe.

Re: No spark!!!

The Primary Coil (STATOR) wire that gets soldered to the Condenser has a Lacquer or plastic coating of sorts on it. If it`s not removed, there will be no connection. I tin that wire before I solder it to the Condenser to be sure that coating is gone. I had that problem more than once. Probably somet...

Re: Hodaka ACE90 ACE100 Condenser

I`m fairly certain that these Part Numbers are it for now. Back in the Pre-Internet days they had Parts Specialists with tons of books. Things have changed! They could go to their parts books and crossover Points and Condensers with no problem. Breaker Points are another item. Terry at HPI has them ...

Grease. A dab of grease keeps that tiny snap ring from becoming a UFO. Works for Piston snap rings too. Joe.

Re: Fouling plugs

When you assembled the Engine was grease used on the Crank main bearings? If so, until it works it`s way out you will have a problem. Spark plugs don`t like STP, Grease and most of all Teflon Grease. The only real problem installing a tad longer reach B8HS spark plug is this: The exposed threads ove...

The parts on the right side of your photo are Wombat correct. The left side is a 93 Super Rat Primary gear and a cut down Clutch Hub part #944012. The 63 tooth gear is 93 93A Super Rat. A possible attempt to Design a new gear combo called a RATBAT. I`ve seen these things done in the past usually by ...

Re: Shifter Cases

You can convert The ACE 90 cover to 5 speed and ACE 100 to a 4 speed by changing out the Foot Change Ratchet. 1 down 4 up takes a the Cover that came out in 1972 on the Model 94 Wombat. Otherwise, Hodaka would have used the ACE 100 cover casting with different parts. I`m sure they could have but as ...

Yes! Kokusan Ignition Condensers. That`s what you want to look up. Honda Super Cub 50 Condenser Part # 30250-001-013 or Sudco 617-009. Some have a wire soldered to it: others don`t. Honda Condenser # 30250-110-024 is the same one. The diameter of these aftermarket condensers is a little smaller but ...

Re: wrist pin

Because you start with a 12mm pin, you really can`t go wrong. You just keep at it until the new pin slides in smooth and that`s it! Slow BUT safe! The factory ART pistons clean up quick. The older Wiseco pistons take a lot more time. Be sure to use plenty of oil. Joe.

Re: wrist pin

I made a simple tool . I took a 12mm pin, roughed it up with a sanding drum and drove a Bolt Extractor into it. Then you use a Tap wrench to turn it round and round and in and out. Takes time, and cuts REALLY slow. Works for me! Joe.
