Re: B+ Rear Fender Needed

Great news! Sorry I couldn’t help. All those rear fenders were all Wombat fenders. Really thought I had an Ace rear fender in the bunch! Once you get the tail light on, you won’t notice much of a difference. It would take a critical eye having experience with both to know the difference between a B ...

Re: old man going north

He stopped by on his way up to you! He said it was way too cold at the Sandia Man Cave this Winter. He will probably stay closer to Las Cruces next Winter. He likes the weather in Mexico, but says there are too many expatriated Americans moving there for his liking! Then he said he would probably Su...

Re: Kokusan

Are you talking about the neutral indicator light?
Here’s the path for the wire. The light green wire goes up from the shift cover into the main harness. Then it follows the light green wire to the indicator light.

Unfortunately, Alan can’t come into the U.S. this year because he sold a bike from Canada to someone in the U.S. & somebody at Border Patrol didn’t like it. So he won’t be at Hodaka Days this year. 😢 Victor

Re: Hodaka Days

My buddy Alan Donovan has a frame up restored Ace 100 B+ for sale in the Vancouver area. He’s in Mapleridge British Columbia. You could fly in to Vancouver, rent a truck and drive down to Hodaka Days. But it’s a full 8 hour drive. I can give you his contact info if you’re interested. I think he want...

You can also look at the parts fiche on Hodaka-Parts.com That shows you exploded views of the front forks with parts identification and part numbers. It’s really helpful for me as a fast reference for assembly whenever I’m scratching my head about something going together. The manual does have great...

Head Stay?

Hey guys! If you’re mounting the head stay on a 94 Wombat the bracket goes on the right side along with the long head bolts going on the right side of the head, correct? :ugeek: Victor

Re: Hodaka Q&A

99/02 Toads & 01 Squirts all have the same cylinder with an exhaust bridge. The bridge is not removed. It is relieved after boring, .003 so as to keep it from swelling into the cylinder & causing piston seizures. If I remember correctly from the Hodaka Book, it was Jim Gentry & Ed Chesnu...

This guy has been recommended by Rick Mott on several occasions. Prices have gone up $10 in the past year. But he’ll stamp any frame number you give him and tell him when it was manufactured. https://www.ebay.com/itm/124630442953?f ... wsaMkV7ys4 Here’s the most accurate chart. You can estimate the ...

Re: combat wombat barn find

Good deal! You need a total of 5 exhaust springs. 2 for the front, one for the middle under the tank and 2 for the rear mount. The shorter springs work better, front & rear, but a longer one works best for under the tank. :ugeek: Victor

Re: Fork Length Issues…

OK! I figured it out today. When pulled the left fork assembly apart, I figured out the descrepency. Turns out that the left fork had a longer dampener rod in it. The guy I traded with sent it to me that way. Now everything is the same length on both sides. It sucks when you have to work on fork sid...

Re: Fork Length Issues…

Thanks Albert! I made copies of the pages and I’ll do comparisons today. I pretty much compared the old fork with the new fork leg and with an extra left leg. They all appeared to be the same. So today I’m going to double check the left leg in the frame. It may be the culprit! I’ll keep you posted. ...

Fork Length Issues…

Question about forks. I have a very crusty set of forks from a 94 Wombat. I did some trading and obtained what I thought would be a better set. However, the guy I traded with sent me 2 left forks! He didn’t pay attention. So I had no right fork with a pinch bolt to lock the axle. Skip ahead. I poste...
