Fork sizes

Thought I would start a new topic. I found this awhile back and copied the info. Looks like a good reference list. Compliments of "a member on another forum", Sorted by size, find yours and you can see what else shares the same size for a swapping donor. JAP bikes Fork Tube Sizes Fork Diam...

Re: Case Reed 125 Hodaka Project

I saw somewhere that the conversion is or was available. However when I pulled the stem on a 77 CR125 Honda all the loose ball bearings dropped in the dirt. Surprised me I thought they would be tapered. Here's a pick with Honda and swingarm mocked up to my Super Combat frame. Looks like no major wor...

Re: Bevman, here's a scar for you!

Thrownchain, I have a retired friend who is obviously a very good welder. I gave this to him to play with along with $100. He gave me the case and $60 back. I still might get another case and just keep this one on the wall. Bev, No this is the case from my Super Combat. Every Hodaka I have has a cra...

Well Sherlock, another mystery solved.
This bike sat against a fence in the Seattle area for 30 years with a rag in the intake.

Re: 03 pics and question.

Bev, This bike belonged to a friend. He bought it new when he was about 13. Wanted a CR125 but his dad made him buy the Hodaka from a local dealer. I got it from his dad. Dad told me the shifter was broken and then lost. I don't know how he did it either but like any kid he was hard on stuff. He was...

Re: 03 pics and question.

Thanks Bruce.
I got to meet both of them at Hodaka Days. Got to talk to Ron about my SC engine. I put it on the back burner for now since the insides we're grenaded. I'm hoping to split these tonight and see what's what. After that it's the saving game.

Re: 03 pics and question.

I thought it might be an interesting discussion. I know nothing about the history of the parts bike, but the other one belonged to a friend. I got it from his dad, been sitting in the family barn since 1978. He broke the shift housing and never looked at it again. I was hoping it might be an easy fi...

03 pics and question.

Here is the piston from my 03 I got from the original owner. No marking on top that I could find. I wonder why it ate the bottom of the skirt? The rest looked good. Brian,
What were the results of your swap? Was it worth the effort in performance and or reliability? I have all the parts and have been considering whether or not to try it.

Just checked at Hodaka-Parts. $219.95. Your cylinder bored to match a new piston which is included. Not surprisingly the address to send your cylinder is to Hodaka Dave's shop. That's teamwork :)
